Speedhub Gates compatibiltyCreated:

Re: Rohloff and Gates CarbonDrive

If you would like to run your Speedhub with a Gates belt drive then there are a number of things you need to know.

You should read all of the information on the Rohloff site before purchasing a frame/hub as it may not be compatible. The link is below:

http://www.rohloff.de/en/technology/gates_carbon_drive/

The Gates compatible hubs are a special order item, this usually can be ordered in with a short turnaround time of 4-6 working days. The other option we have is our stock held here in the UK can be changed in house from normal sprocket to a Gates carrier type if your order is very time sensitive, reducing the delivery time down to 1-2days.

We have been doing more and more of the Gates specific Rohloff hubs this year, we now have the tools here to remove and re-fit the Gates carrier.

There are a few things that you need to aware of before you go ahead and order your hub, For Rohloff to supply the hub first they will want to know which frame you are going to fit the hub to, the reason for this is the frame has to have passed a stiffness test to show that it is Gates compliant, this is something not all small frame manufacturers have done, which then leaves the difficult situation of saying sorry we can't sell you this hub as Rohloff do not permit it.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require more information or help with this subject.

Halo hex skewer instruction errorCreated:

We have recently discovered a potentially serious text error with the instructions included on our Halo Skewer sets.

The issue relates to the stated torque denomination unit. The previous instructions noted “7 Ft-lbs” – where as it should have read “7Nm”.

The problem is that the incorrect 7Ft-lbs text is commonly read to mean 7 lb-ft which is equivalent to 9.5Nm.

Cane Creek PRODUCT SAFETY NOTICECreated:

"At Cane Creek, we strive to make best-in-class products that provide exceptional performance and rider experience.  During the initial production of the DBinline rear shock, we did not live up to this promise. We have determined that certain DBinlineshocks manufactured from May 23, 2014 through September 15, 2014 have graphics that incorrectly identify the adjustment directions for High Speed Rebound (HSR) damping.  We are extremely sorry for the confusion this may have caused and have corrected this mistake."
