RD2 Front Hub

Halo RD2 series of hubs have been designed ground up for the highest performance road disc brake applications.

Forged alloy shell, with CNC machined finishing ensures high strength and low weight.

Lightweight alloy core-axle and sealed bearings offer smooth, durable performance.

Conventional J-bend spoke compatibility ensures easy maintenance, anywhere.

Disc Brake Compatibility

Standard Halo RD2 hub features a Shimano type Centerlock spline rotor fitment.

(Lockring not included, lockrings are usually part of the rotor assembly)

Optional for use with ‘6-BOLT’ IS standard rotors,

please fit the optional extra Halo Centerlock Adaptor. Item#: BDHACLA (includes lockring)

Rim Compatibility:

The 16/8E drilling configuration offers 16 spokes on the Disc brake side and 8 on the non-brake side to offer dishing force which pulls the rim to centre in the wheel from the spoke count rather than using excess spoke tension difference.

Note: Only suitable for use with specific 16/8E drilled rims.

Fork/Axle Compatibility

The Halo RD2 hub is designed to fit with ‘100mm’ wide forks.

Halo RD2 front features press-in modular end caps (end cones).

Supplied as standard with the more common standard 12mm Thru-axle end caps for use with 12mm road Thru-axles, the RD2 hub can easily be adapted for use with alternative forks.
