Chain Wear Indicator

Precision-engineered chain wear tool designed to measure chain stretch at critical service thresholds of 0.5% and 0.75%.

For most chains, the 0.5% indicator denotes early-stage wear, ideal for preventive maintenance, while the 0.75% threshold indicates the chain has reached the end of its optimal service life and should be replaced to prevent accelerated wear to the cassette.

For 11-13 speed cassettes, a 0.5% indicator denotes it’s time to consider replacing the chain. If the reading shows stretch at 0.75%, it’s time to look at replacing the cassette.
